This tapestry was inspired by my cat, Calcifer, who is named after the flame character from Studio Ghibli’s Howl’s Moving Castle. I chose the green background to match my cat’s eye color and made the tapestry as a personal piece for myself.
I constructed the image by following a pixel graph and crocheting over the unused colors as I worked, hiding them within the stitches.
